Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College (NSCB Medical College)is the second oldest medical college in the state of Madhya Pradesh, India. It was founded in 1955 as Government Medical College Jabalpur and was inaugurated by then Prime Minister, Honorable Late Shri Jawahar Lal Nehru. Later it got named after Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. This institute stand as tall landmark in the field of health care and has provided experts of national and International repute. Jabalpur has been selected as one of the first 20 Indian cities to be developed as a smart city under Smart Cities Mission and to provide smart health care this institute has become first in the state to initiate fully digital hospital management information system on the line of AIIMS. Addiction Treatment Facility Initiated in NSCB Medical College Jabalpur, Nodal Officer ATF Dr O.P. Raichandani and full-time employee of the hospital o Willing to provide necessary administrative and supervisory role o Monitoring the day-to-day functioning of the staff of ATF Medical Officer: Dr. Surabhi Pandit Roles/responsibilities o Providing assessment and diagnostic services to the patients. o Providing initial short term treatment as well as long term pharmacotherapy to the patients. Nurse Roles/responsibilities o Dispensing medication as prescribed by the doctor o Maintain records related to dispensing as a applicable o Provide first-aid in case of absence of the medical doctor o Maintain records related to stock management Counselor : Roles/responsibilities o Assisting medical officer in assessment and diagnosis of patients o Providing initial counseling and Motivation Enhancement to the patients o Ensuring follow-up with patients o Ensuring regular one-to-one psychosocial sessions as well as group sessions with patients and family-members o Undertake field visit, if required o Providing referral services to the patients-Including referral for other health conditions, other social needs, as well as referral to the higher center for management of complex cases of substance use disorders o Liaise with other department of the hospital to enhance resettles to the ATF Data Manager Roles/responsibilities o Registering new and follow-up patients o Marking clinical file for all new patients o Ensuring that records are maintained as prescribed under the scheme o Preparing monthly reports under supervision of other staff of ATF o Assisting in maintaining stock records with nursing staff o Assisting in account maintenance under the guidance of the ATF staff as well as account personnel of the hospital Location of the clinic to the extent possible, the outpatient clinic needs to be located within or close to the general OPD of the hospital. Only in case where an exclusive building is being used for the addiction treatment service , the OPD clinic may be located NSCB Medical College, Psychiatry Department Jabalpur. Our outpatient clinic for the following purpose. Doctors chamber; Counselors chamber; Nursing/dispensing room; OPD Store ( for medicine stock and clinical records); Registration cum waiting area for parents ( may be shared with other out-patient services). Our infrastructure requirement: Equipment and Supplies (stationery); Computer with internet connectivity; Office Furniture; Storage cupboards.
