Located at the border region intersecting city - surrounded by Uttarakhand, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh - Addiction Treatment Facility (Saharanpur) is part of the District Hospital with a history of more than five-decade catering to the needs of the urban and adjacent rural areas. The facility serving the society since November 2021, Outpatient Department was initially conceptualized, followed by opening of Inpatient Department at a capacity of ten-bed strength in the year 2023 under the guidance of National Drug Dependence Treatment Centre (NDDTC), established as part Of National Action Plan for Drug Demand and Reduction (NADDPR), and with grant from the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment (MoSJE). The clinic treats substance use disorders and other as co-morbid mental health problems of Bipolar Disorder, Depression, Social anxiety as well as other drug-induced diseases, the treatment based on the multiprong strategy of bio-psycho-socio model of drug rehabilitation. The inpatient gives an interactive space where the inpatients are administered medicines and activities are arranged ranging from morning exercise, evening gym routine, and games such as Carrom and Ludo, and sports like badminton and football, puzzles to help with cognitive rehabilitation.
